Winamp skins are alternative GUI's or Graphical User Interfaces for Winamp. The skins allow you to change the appearence of your Winamp MP3 player. It does not change the functionality of Winamp in any way. It is only a new 'surface' for Winamp.

The
maximized windows display most of the options in Winamp. The player doesn't
have to be this big, you may mix and match the window settings to maximize
access to your favorite controls while minimizing windows you don't use.
The Playlist and Mini Browser can be opened further to allow for easier
navigation.

To install a Winamp skin, place a copy of the skin file in your 'winamp/skins' directory. If you are using Winamp 2.04 or higher, you don't have to unzip the file. Simply copy a zipped skin into your skin directory.
Select a skin in Winamp by pressing ALT+S. A pop up window will appear and you may select from any skin that is in your winamp/skins directory.
