Waffle or Pancake Batter
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of White flour
- 1 cup of Whole Wheat flour
- approximately 2-1/2 cups of Whole Milk
- 4 tablespoons melted Butter
- 1 cup of sugar (was 1/2 cup of Honey)
- 2 (was 1-1/2) teaspoons of Active Dry Yeast
- 2 teaspoons of Salt
Preparation:
Mix the dry ingredients in a 4 quart mixing bowl.
Add some of the Milk and mix thoroughly.
Melt the Butter. Add the Honey to the butter so it softens and becomes easy to mix. Mix the Butter and Honey into the batter.
Continue adding Milk until the batter to lower the viscosity so it is easy to spoon into the waffle iron.
Note: If necessary, adjust the thickness by adding more flour or milk to achieve the correct viscosity.
Place the batter in the refrigerator for 8 to 12 hours.
Remove the batter from the refrigerator and let it stand in a warm space for about an hour.
Cook the batter in a waffle iron, or use the batter to make pancakes.
