Quick60 Series Race 02: Alpina Twist

Here is a preview of Alpina Twist, the second event of the Quick60 Series.

Alpina Twist is set in an imaginary rare earth quarry. The mine has been abadoned and virtually forgotten, The trailing mounds and toxic seeps erode peacefully in wooded seclusion. This is a perfect place for a moto throw down.

While Race One, Karnival Twist,
kicks off to the Quick 60 series with a big publicity circus and all kinds of Race support Alpina Twist is different. It is a very low key scene. We haven't bothered to inform the property owners, the Swiss corporation that owns this toxic nightmare probably doesn't care what we do :-).
You will find only a few course markers or race structures on this track. The lack of course grooming reflects the bootleg spirit of the event. The track is laid over the service roads and waste mounds existing on the site. Packs have been added on the primary circuit and a pre race expedition crew is carving a bunch of cool freestyle lines and potential shortcuts.

The track is very organic, almost funky. You will need lots of practice just to run a clean lap. The good lines are hard to maintain but there are lots of them to try for.
Will you be tempted by the extra lines and glory jumps that may or may not prove to be faster?
One things for sure... a romp down a conveyor belt is a scream.

image: spy photo of AREA: Q60-R02Psssst....You didn't hear this from me... but, if you see a suspicious looking dark colored mosquito hovering over your latest track design you might want to shut off the lights and run silient.

This mysterious image looks remarkably like the track we plan to race for round two of the Quick 60 Series.

hmmm.

This track introduces some cool original prop objects.

The Conveyor Belt Material Movers are each unique models built to fit the terrain. They are fully ridable and each feature a section of dirt packs that are a blast to time out.
The ai riders stick to the ground for the most part, riding under the conveyors. Will the effort to jump up on the beltways pay off with a faster lap?

Alpina Twist introduces a collection of Rock Objects made just for this track. They are each 30 polygon stuctures that have a great look when mixed into the MCM2 terrains. The finish section features a Rock Garden with several clean lines and many more imposters. Will you be tuff enuff to drive it thru this section? Its a rush when you blast a line, leaves brushing in your face, thru to a clean view of the finish.
