Foul Pheasant Twist is set at the Feathered Friends Riding Park. This track was released along with Raunchy Turkey as a dual entry in the Zone Racing 2003 track design contest. Foul Pheasant is run in the opposite direction of Raunchy Turkey.

  The tracks were awarded a 18th place. I released them at the Tiwsted Dirt news page but never got around to making a regular link.

   The map above is from an early beta version. You can see how the texture mapping evolves from the simple coloring here to the more detailed final version.

Description:

TD FFRP Foul Pheasant Twist is a race set in the "Feathered Friends Riding Park". I began designing this terrain in Feburary 2002 and now a year and a half later I am releasing the first 2 public Nationals races. I hope the riding park will become host to a collection of events.
Foul Pheasant follows the main race track clockwise in an exhausting 3 minute run. There is lots of huge air, some tough rhythm sections and a few places where you must work the brakes. The gyro effects are real important to get the bike down on a few blind jumps.
You may want to explore a bit... there is lots and lots of single track around the main track.
Look for future events soon.

I have made a special effort to create a terrain model that seems realisitic. All the features are hand painted/sculpted in Adobe Photoshop and reflects lots of real life observation of landscapes, erosion, and roadway design. I hope it encourages others to push the limits of track designing in a realistic style.
