Curried Potato Au Gratin
This recipe makes 8 large servings.
Ingredients:
5 pounds of Potatoes sliced 1/8" thick
Spice Mixture:
2 teaspoons of White Pepper fresh ground
1 tablespoon of Coriander Seed fresh ground
1 tablespoon of Turmeric Powder
2 tablespoons of Garam Masala
1 tablespoon of Salt
Dairy:
1 8oz (by weight)Package of Cream Cheese
16 ounces (by weight) of Sour Cream
1 stick of Butter
Preparation:
Warm a very large baking pan while preheating the oven to 350* F.
Remove the baking pan and melt the stick of butter in the bottom.
Place the Potatoes in the pan. Add the salt while placing the potatoes. Add
the Garam Masala. Stir to coat the potatoes with the melted butter, salt and
spices.
Cover the pan and bake at 350*F for 20 minutes.
Add the Cream Cheese as 1" chunks. Add the Sour Cream. Add the Tumeric. Fold
the new ingredients into the potatoes.
Cover the pan and bake at 350*F for 10 minutes.
Remove the pan and stir the ingredients so all the potatoes are coated
evenly.
Leave the pan uncovered and bake for 20 minutes.

Cook the potatoes until they soften.
Remove from heat and let the casserole rest. Serve when the Potatoes and the
sauce cooled enough to thicken somewhat.
